No not as an investment. As a place to stock up on cheap eats!
I tried this grocery for the first time on the recommendation of a friend. I’m hooked. For under ten bucks, I got everything I needed for a week of premium sandwiches, 12 grain bread, cheese, 1 lb Blackforest sliced ham, a fat tomato, spicy mustard, bread and butter pickles, for under 10 bucks, and had enough left over to try out the “Significantly Spicy” hummus.
The sandwich was delicious and the hummus as advertised, significantly spicy. I also noted pork butt roast for 1.49 a pound. I would have gotten that too but didn’t bring a bag to carry that much. Speaking of which, you need to bring your own bags. This is a grocery that goes to extremes to cut costs so they can provide low, low prices. Not providing bags is one example. You’ll need a quarter for a deposit if you want a shopping cart. The coin can be recovered when you return the cart. Another brilliant cost saving measure. The cart stays clean of carts reducing staffing needs and reducing liability from car damages and lost carts.
I’ll be bringing a bag and going back for that pork butt. It will be delicious in my crock pot with onions, spices, (red) boxed wine, carrots, and potatoes. I’ll serve the hot mess over steamed rice. And I will utterly devour that prey. Look for Aldi in your area.
Devour your prey raptors!
